Healthier Food Options for MHS Students

Starting this school year, Midlothian High School students will have a new dining experience with healthier menu options.

The Food Service Department, ARAMARK, has implemented a made-to-order concept by offering more nutritional meals that promote wellness and meal participation. For a $2.45 lunch plate, students can choose items such as a veggie wrap to a turkey burger with sautéed mushrooms. The four made-to-order stations are Tortilla Fresh Mex, Green Street Deli, Custom Bros Grill Co., and Corner Crust Pizza. View menus [PDF]

Today, most students are familiar with mall food courts, quick service restaurants, and a variety of ethnic cuisines. “Our goal is to enhance contemporary food offerings that students love,” said Emily Jones, Food Service Director.

The success of the new menu options will determine the implementation at other schools as school principals have expressed an interest in opening these exciting options at their campuses.
